Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and often stylized with the letters in uppercase as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well received by music blogs. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of her most well-known recordings. The singer gained further attention through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the song Runaway. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano in her loft and being amazed by the music. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to study music not to get an income or as a pastime and as a way to develop. Thus, she began her own compositions. As well as Bjork as well, she mentions Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mom encouraged her to play her music in front of the public, but not so that she could be famous, but to help others realize how important they are and what they can do for humanity. She started playing piano at the age of six, and began writing music at age nine. It was not until she turned 14 that she revealed her plans to her parents. There was no way she could have imagined to become Aurora. Aurora says she loves to compose songs. For her, music is the best method of feeling anything.
